Provides temporary care to children who are unable to remain with their family. Caseworkers provide the services and support necessary to reunite the family. If a child cannot safely to return to their family, the agency works to develop a permanent plan for the child.

Supports and promotes the development of quality, accessible, and affordable child care services in Oswego County. Assists parents searching for child care with registration and enrollment for home-based child care and school age programs. Offers training and technical assistance for parents and providers.

Serves as the record keeper for the county and provides certificates and licensing for residents. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining county archives.

Acts as a general information center by assisting the public and county government with the filing, handling, and preserving of public records. Services include passports, pistol permits, notaries public, veterans' discharge papers, oaths of office, uniform commercial code department, assumed name certificates, court records, and maps.
