Services are open to persons age 16 and older. Written Learner Permit Tests and CDL written tests are given up to one-half hour before closing. Offers a course that will help prepare you to take the Personal Trainer Certification exam from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). Learn basic exercise science, nutrition, fitness assessment, exercise programming, instructional and spotting techniques. Study anatomy, kinesiology, injury prevention, supplementation and nutrition and all aspects of weight and strength training as you prepare for employment as a personal trainer in a gym or fitness center or as a consultant for your own business. You’ll gain firsthand experience in Tech’s new fitness center where you’ll learn to apply your coursework to sound health and fitness programming on state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
