The 2-1-1 Transportation Specialist is responsible for providing solutions-focused assistance to a caseload of clients, particularly individuals underserved by transportation services, individuals in rural communities, and inter/cross-county commuters lacking consistent access or affordable transportation options.Services includetrip planningassistance with Medical transportation options including Medicaid Transportation Employment related transportation assistanceproviding access to emergency ride home program, free bus passes for TCAT, Gadabout and cross county transit providersassistance with long distance trip planning, help with booking city bus rides (Flixbus, Ourbus)

Drivers from Department for Human Services will transport seniors, without a means of transportation, from their valley home (Catskill/Athens) to/from the Catskill Senior Center or the Rivertown Senior Center in Athens for the noon meal.

Operates a coach-type bus which serves most of Delaware County. Different fixed routes, operating three (3) days a week, have been established to help riders meet their shopping and social needs. Coordinators take reservations for those persons wishing to ride the bus. For a list of the coordinators and a copy of the bus schedule, please call. Also offers limited transportation service to meet non-emergency health care appointments and pharmaceutical needs.Transportation arrangements should be made 5 business days in advance. 24 hour notice is requested for cancellations. Four requests per program year are allowed per client.
