Valley Rural Housing offers pre-purchase, delinquency-default, budget and credit counseling as well as maintenance education and mortgage application assistance.

Offers pre-purchase counseling, home buyer seminars, mortgage and rental default counseling, and Reverse Equity Mortgage Certification. This is a HUD-certified counseling agency.  

Offers assistance with mortgage default or first-time homebuyer counseling. Contact the office for locations of counselors that are certified by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to provide these services.

Casa Salva provides temporary housing to homeless survivors of victims of domestic violence and their families fleeing from abusive relationships.

Provides education to individuals and families of what to expect after buying a home and how to continue asset building and to continue the success of maintaining the house. Program serves Orange, Ulster, Sullivan and Dutchess Counties.

Offers first time homebuyers assistance to cover down payment and/or closing costs plus rehabilitation expenses. Also offers pre-purchase and post-purchase education, as well as homeownership counseling.

Provides educational programs, outreach activities, public presentations and services to increase community awareness of fair housing issues, advocacy on homelessness prevention, predatory lending. Fair housing laws can protect many residents from illegal discrimination in obtaining housing.
