Accepts donations of new and used furniture, doors, windows, plumbing and heating, electrical, lighting, hardware, lumber, cabinets, appliances, tile and much more. These items are kept in stock to be used for home construction and repairs or are placed in the habitat store and warehouse to be sold at bargain prices.

Nassau County’s Emergency Shelter Relief Program is open seven days a week both day and night. The Emergency Night Service (ENS) opens at 6pm. ENS handles nighttime WarmBed calls. Accepts donations of above items to be sold in the store; donations are tax deductible. Volunteer opportunities available for receiving, pricing, and stocking donations; assisting customers on the sale floor and at the register; and also for merchandising and running pick-up and deliveries.

A Non-Certified Office of Mental Health Program that secures permanent housing for populations including the mentally ill and mentally ill/chemically addicted (MICA). Staff provides resources for consumers with limited incomes to successfully find housing that meets their needs. Offers individuals a safe and affordable apartment, furniture, linkage to necessary community supports, and advocacy. Staff collaborates with consumers to procure, establish, and maintain households that meet each person's specific needs. Services include contacting landlords, arranging lease agreements, obtaining essential household items, rental assistance, and assistance in identifying service gaps.

Provides shelter for homeless women and children as well as relief for individuals in domestic violence situations. Offers security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Stays are generally 30 days with an extension if needed. Arrangements are made for residents to move to transitional living situations in an effort to attain self-sufficiency. Provides transitional housing for women. Services provided to residents include: on-site medical care; classroom for preschool children; certified public school teachers and classroom for school age children; licensed daycare; referrals for case management, food, clothing, and shelter; links with social workers and mental health counselors; and a 12 step recovery program for drug and alcohol abuse. HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm; Shelter operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
