For in person help, please visit the satellite location at Genesee County Career Center, 587 East Main Street, Batavia. **** Operates a nutrition program that provides a daily nutritionally balanced hot meal to older persons. Besides promoting health and nutrition, this program is designed to promote opportunities to socialize with others and to improve access to a variety of social and health services. All meals served provide at least one-third of the current dietary reference intakes as established by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science, National Research Council. Meals are available at five congregate meal sites in the County and through a Home Delivered Meal program.

Assistance in filling out forms, information and referral. Portal to portal transportation for medical appointments and limited groceries. Hot, nutritious lunches. Center provides recreational activities, educational and health programs (blood pressure, hearing, cholesterol screening). Organized trips (day and overnight).

Provides case management, education programs, information and referral, social and recreation programs, nutrition program, fitness classes, outreach, and transportation for medical needs, shopping, and nutrition program. Serves as a Cooling Center during times of extreme heat. Always call to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.

Offers a lunch time meal at several locations during the week to seniors who can leave their home and want to eat and socialize with others. Also delivers a lunch meal during the week to homebound seniors.

Offers a hot lunch meal accompanied by an activity at the senior center (Van Tassell House) on weekdays, and home delivered meals for those seniors who are homebound due to age, illness or fragile, in the community. Delivered 11:00 am-2:00 pm weekdays.

Provides a location for seniors to gather and socialize, along with a lunch meal twice a week, and social activities, trips, guest speakers, and information and referral services to help link seniors to other resources in the community.

Provides seniors with a nutritious meal five days a week at a low cost. Also provides socialization opportunities, participation in group outings, attendance at legislative forums in Albany focusing on issues relating to seniors, recreational activities, and guest speakers addressing issues and concerns of seniors, such as Health Medicaid/Medicare, Food Stamps, HEAP, counseling and low-income housing needs. The program also provides transportation to seniors for their medical and dental appointments, prescription drug pick-up, food shopping and other essentials and to family and nutrition services.

Provides one hot meal daily Monday through Friday through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for homebound elderly in Southold Town. Frozen prepared meals are available for weekends if there is a demonstrated need. Also offers congregate dining five days a week/one meal a day. Transportation is available. Cooks certified by Suffolk County Department of Health. Funded by Southold Town, Suffolk County Office for the Aging and New York State Office For Aging.

Provides door-to-door transportation for seniors five days a week. Lunch is provided M-F Noon-1pm. Call for information. This program is funded by the Nassau County Department of Senior Affairs as a Multi Service Senior Center.

Services include a congregate meal program for seniors to gather and eat lunch, including other fun activities, a home meal delivery program for homebound seniors. Also offers information and referrals to other needed resources in the community, and medical transportation for seniors with medical-related appointments.

Provides meals and related nutrition services in congregate settings, which help to keep older Americans healthy and prevent the need for more costly medical interventions. Besides meals, services include nutrition screening and education and nutrition assessment and counseling as appropriate. The program also presents opportunities for social engagement and meaningful volunteer roles, which contribute to overall health and well-being. Provides adult day services including personal care services, recreation, entertainment, games, crafts, light exercise, music, interaction with children, breakfast, and lunch. Also offers special programs for persons diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease or related disorders and those with early onset Alzheimer's (under age 60). Also offers support groups and educational events for caregivers. Transportation is available.

Office for the Aging has congregate meals which are available to adults age 60 and older as well as their spouses of any age, without regard to income, up to five days a week. They also have a Meals on Wheels program which delivers meals to home bound older residents in the community.

Provides many activities including hot and cold lunches three times a week, day trips, overnight trips, special movie dates, exercise and line dancing classes, just to name a few. Seniors are welcome to join the nearest center and to participate in all its activities.
