Distributes food and food-related products to people in need through a network of more than 130 hunger-relief member agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other non-profit organizations. The Food Bank also has a number of direct service programs that fight hunger including the BackPack Program and Mobile Food Pantry. Located in Elmira, NY the Food Bank is a regional agency of Catholic Charities and a member of Feeding America.

Provides intake for emergency services with proof of address. Operates thrift store. Meeting space available in Caf area for support groups. AA and NA meeting place. Backpack school supplies program for children (K-6th) enrolled in Waverly School District.

Provides information about USDA programs, such as SNAP, WIC, School Lunch programs, information on proper food safety, sanitation issues, food handling and prep for infants and toddlers, and emergency food assistance, including if individuals have complaints regarding the programs and improper procedures, etc.

FORMULA available at CHOW warehouse by appointment with approved referral by WIC.Food and/or Formula Referral requires client info: names, date of births, address for all in the household. Usage for food pantry under normal circumstances 12x/yr. Referrals accepted at 2-wk intervals.
