Food pantry operates every 2nd Thursday from 11:00am-1:00 pm and 4th Thursdays from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm.

We would like to assist you during these difficult times, so when you come to campus please review the information found on the website regarding access to campus and completing the Student Daily Health Screening questionnaire. Welcome Friends is a non-sectarian organization seeking to create a sense of community for neighbors affected by hunger and poverty by serving them with dignity and respect in safe, hospitable environments. Provides hot meals and sandwiches or groceries to go.

Provides emergency food and various other assistance for Hempstead Village residents.

Provides limited emergency food (no perishables) and referrals to emergency shelters (cost is shared with other agencies if necessary). Also provides financial assistance to the immediate parish families only when needed. Offers Bereavement Programs or referrals to programs (suicide, death of children, widow, widowers, miscarriage and stillbirths) one on one Employment Network and various other services. Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center offers a food pantry to those in need. This food pantry also offers clothing, and other household items.

Provides an emergency food pantry for individuals diagnosed with AIDS/HIV, chronic illnesses, and those in need.

Food Pantry available to community members who are in need of food assistance. Items include (but are not limited to) non-perishables, fresh produce, meat, and bread.

Food pantry which serves groceries based on family size. Items include frozen meat, dry beans and grains, fresh vegetables, and other important staples.

Provides a package of non-perishable food, once a month and in emergencies, for low income individuals and families in the community.

Offers canned goods and other non-perishable items from storeroom for those in need of emergency food. To get Emergency Pantry food,one must provide a "food request form" from a case manager from Department of Social Services, or provide a letter from a doctor stating that they are at risk of malnutrition. We will accept first time walk ins, and will also accept food request forms from other various social service agencies on behalf of their clients.
