Offers services to children and their families suffering from traumatic experiences and post-traumatic stress disorder. Cognitive-behavior therapy and exposure therapy are the preferred modes of treatment for PTSD. All services are provided in a professional and ethical manner and conform to the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association. HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY - JOAN AND ARNOLD SALTZMAN COMMUNITY SERVICES CENTER

Includes four clinics and a fully licensed early childhood program: The Diane Lindner-Goldberg Child Care Institute; Counseling and Mental Health Professions; Psychological Evaluation Research and Counseling; Reading/Writing Learning and Speech-Language-Hearing. Each of these units is affiliated with Hofstra University's School of Education, the School of Health and Human Services or Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The Center supports high-quality educational and practical experiences for Hofstra University students, and provides services to Hofstra University employees and to the community-at-large. Access to multiple services within the Saltzman Center afford the opportunity for a comprehensive approach to clients' needs. Call for more information regarding each clinic.
