Strives to strengthen the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy. Collects, organizes, analyzes, and disseminates information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects. Maintains collections which contain books, pamphlets, periodical articles, audiovisual materials, CD-ROMS and online databases on philanthropy, foundations, non-profit sector and works related to charitable giving. Services also include online e-mail reference and book sales. The Center offers both free training courses and fee-based seminars (some in Spanish) to grantseekers as well as outreach services.
