Family Assistance: Provides temporary financial support to families with children and pregnant women who are without sufficient income to maintain themselves. Safety Net: Provides vouchers for essential expenses to individuals who have reached their lifetime limit of Family Assistance and children in the care of non-relatives, or for single and childless couples. Temporary Disability Assistance (TDA): Provides assistance to persons with temporary disabilities, persons 60 years of age and older, caregivers of those with disabilities, and those with permanent disabilities awaiting SSI benefits. SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): Provides assistance purchasing food for individuals and families with limited income. Mixed Household SNAP benefits are granted to households who have some members who receive temporary assistance and some who do not. Benefits are obtained electronically through the EBT system. Medical Assistance: Provides medical coverage to persons without insurance, premium support to persons paying a Medicare premium and coverage for adults whose children receive Child Health Plus. Rental Assistance: Provides assistance with rental payments to eligible households, as determined by the application process.
