STAR EXEMPTION, CREDIT AND IVP PROGRAMS | NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ASSESSMENT

Basic STAR Program provides school property tax relief for all homeowners, regardless of age or income. The Enhanced STAR Program provides additional benefits for qualified homeowners ages 65 or older. STAR applicants and recipients are now required to register for the Income Verification Program- IVP. The NYS Department of Taxation and Finance will verify your income eligibility and contact you if additional information is needed. Call for further information.
