Provides a hotline for anyone to call to begin an investigation on animal cruelty complaints throughout the county. Animal cruelty in New York State is considered the intentional effort to hurt or kill a companion animal or the failure to provide food, water, shelter or necessary veterinary care. Also assists complaints of animals which have attacked people or other animals.

A not-for-profit, no-kill shelter that operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic, and has established a fund to prevent cruelty to animals, and takes in mistreated, abused, and abandoned animals. Today, it is the only humane society in Westchester County empowered to enforce laws relating to animal cruelty.
