Volunteers must be income-eligible to receive tax-free stipend and must be age 55 or older. Clients must be referred by the Niagara County Office for the Aging or other professional sources. New clients are welcomed. Service Area: Niagara County.

Description

Unites healthy seniors with homebound seniors who need the warmth of a new friend. This free service is especially helpful for older adults who are frail and homebound and for their family caregivers. The program creates bonds that make the volunteer and the client happier and healthier. Volunteers receive a tax-free stipend and other benefits for their services.
