Provides after school programming for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 in five core program areas, outlined below. Character Leadership Development: Empowers youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image, participate in a democratic process, and respect their own and others' cultural identities. Education & Career Development: Enables youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations, and embrace technology to optimize employability. Health & Life Skills: Develops young people's capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals, and develop the competencies to live successfully as self-sufficient adults. The Arts: Enables youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual and tactile arts and crafts, performing arts, and creative writing. Sports, Fitness, & Recreation: Develops fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment, and social and interpersonal skills.

Application process

Parents must complete a membership application for each child they are enrolling in the program and must attend a parent orientation.

Fee

Sliding fee scale. All fees are based on the family's household size and income.

Eligibility

Any child age 5-18 is eligible to participate in Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo programs. Service Area: City of Buffalo.
