Application process

The following application methods will be accepted: - Referral from a Niagara County social service organization that works with the parent/family and has pertinent knowledge of their personal information (see documentation required below). - Online pre-registration through Community Missions’ website: www.communitymissions.org/adopt-a-family - Email [email protected] - Call 716-285-3403 ext. 2248 no later than November 14th to set up a time for phone registration. Registration by phone may require documentation to be dropped off in person or submitted electronically. - In person BY APPOINTMENT ONLY; no walk-ins allowed. Call 716-285-3403 ext. 2248 no later than November 14th to book an in-person appointment. After the November 14th deadline has passed, additional applicants must be referred by a social service agency (see first application method detailed at the top of the list above). Clients must provide the following documentation: 1) Photo ID for adult applying 2) Proof of Niagara or Erie County address for adult and children in the household; Erie County residents should call to confirm eligibility, based on the ability to pick up toys from a Niagara County location. 3) Proof of income for adult applying 4) Social security cards for adults and children on the application More details on what is considered acceptable documentation will be provided when the initial application or appointment is made. Families will be assigned one of three weeks in December to pick up their gifts from Community Missions. Applicants will be given a choice of time slots for gift pickup.
