EDUCATION SERVICES | LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF ONTARIO-YATES INC.
* Provides no cost literacy tutoring to adults by trained volunteers. * Assists English speakers looking to improve reading, writing, math or science literacy or pursue their GED. * Assists foreign-language speakers seeking to learn English: comprehension, speaking, reading and writing. Helps those interested prepare for US Citizenship exam. * Structures tutoring primarily in a one-to-one setting at a time and place convenient for both learner and tutor. Group sessions offered as needed for math, science, conversation/pronunciation and a book group. Tutors work with individuals until they have met their goals.
