CODE BLUE NIGHTS | HOMELESS AND TRAVELERS AID SOCIETY (HATAS)
On Code Blue evenings (declared when the temperature drops below 10 degrees, the wind chill is expected to reach zero, or when the forecast calls for a foot of snow or more) extra beds will be available for just one night at homeless shelters in the City of Albany, and free transportation to these shelters will be provided by CDTA, the Albany police and firefighters, and Capitaland Taxi. HATAS is still the single point of access for these shelters. Homeless persons can go directly to either the Capital City Rescue Mission at 259 S. Pearl Street or the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless Drop-In Center at 26 South Swan Street.
