GERIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES | FAMILY SERVICES OF WESTCHESTER
Geriatric Mental Health Services aids older adults who have problems with mood, bereavement, family discord or any symptoms of mental illness. Also makes referrals to other kinds of support services, including short/long range planning and options, legal/financial planning, home care and respite care. Gatekeeper Geriatric Mental Health Training focuses on training community service personnel (police, postal workers and others who interact with elderly) to be able to recognize and identify issues of mental illness, abuse, depression and suicide risk, to be able to make appropriate referral to access support and care for the elderly.
