Provides safety and protection in various ways to the local community. The Detectives Division investigates crimes for very specific felony crimes, such as burglary, homicide, assault, etc. The Community Services Unit helps victims of domestic violence, along with bicycle officers which can keep closer tabs on the community. The Canine Officers handle crimes which are well aided by dogs which are trained for drug or bomb sniffing or helping to detain a suspect. The Marine Unit which helps patrol the local water ways and helps anyone stranded or in danger on the water.
