NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS DE-CENTRALIZATION GRANTS PROGRAM | HUNTINGTON ARTS COUNCIL

Awards annual grants to non-profit organizations and/or individual artists to help strengthen the arts and cultural programs in their communities. Considers applicants' quality of programming, community support, and professionalism in making funding decisions, and awards grants on recommendation of a seven-member panel of local artists, community leaders, and others from throughout Suffolk County. Grants range from $500 to $5,000.

HUNTINGTON ARTS COUNCIL

The Arts Council acts as the official arts coordinating agency for the Town of Huntington, working together with over 115 member organizations to enhance the lives of the citizens of Huntington and the Long Island Region by nurturing, supporting and promoting the arts. Huntington Arts Council offers technical assistance for artists and arts organizations and administers the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Grants Program which funds art projects in Suffolk County. HAC's ongoing projects and programs include: Information Services, Training, Education and Advocacy, Outreach Efforts, The Summer Arts Festival, Arts in Education, Youth Services, Re-grant Funding Programs, Services to member organizations, The Long Island Dance Consortium, and two art galleries.
