The purpose of LIBS or the Blood Center is to collect, process, test, store and transport blood and blood products from voluntary donors for patient use by hospitals in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens counties. Volunteers needed at local blood drives to assist in snack areas and non-technical tasks. Call for more information.
