DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER | COMMUNITY ACTION OF GREENE COUNTY
Provides victims/survivors of domestic violence and their children with safe, secure, temporary shelter. Assists with food, clothing, personal items while providing support services, such as counseling, support group, advocacy, transportation, New York State Crime Victim Board claims assistance. Educates clients on New York State laws pertaining to their situation and answer questions regarding custody, criminal charges, and protection order. Staff offers insight on the judicial process and attend legal and court appointments. Shelter stay is limited to 90 days.
