ENERGY AFFORDABILITY PROGRAM (EAP) | NATIONAL GRID

Assists income-eligible National Grid gas customers with managing home energy bills by providing a monthly bill credit based on the customer's HEAP benefit, family size, income, energy costs and the presence of a vulnerable household member. Includes automatic enrollment in the Budget Plan, unless customer opts out. Program replaces the company's Residential Reduced Rate Program and goes into effect January 1, 2018.

Eligibility

National Grid gas customers only. Income eligibility guidelines apply. Enrollment is automatic if a HEAP payment was posted to the National Grid account within the last 14 months or if the customer shows documentation of one of the qualifying programs; Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Safety Net Assistance, SSI, Medicaid, Snap, Veterans Disability Pension or Spouse Pension, Child Health Plus.
