GLAUCOMA EYECARE PROGRAM | EYECARE AMERICA

Promotes early detection of glaucoma, raises awareness of glaucoma risk factors, and provides free glaucoma educational materials and facilitates access to eye care. People eligible for a referral through the program receive a glaucoma eye exam. Patients with insurance will be billed and are responsible for any co-payments. Uninsured are seen at no charge. Fee

Provides a glaucoma eye exam at no cost to those who are eligible and uninsured. Those who are eligible and insured are billed normal office procedure and responsible for any co-payments.

Eligibility

U.S. citizen/legal residents who have not had an eye exam in 12 months or more, do not belong to an HMO or have eye care benefits through the VA, and are at an increased risk for glaucoma based on age, race and family history of glaucoma, and who do not belong to an HMO or receive eye care benefits through the VA.
