Dental hygiene clinic serving the public. Appointments are provided by dental hygiene students and supervised by faculty; sessions are approximately 3 hours in length to accommodate teaching. One or more appointments may be required and will include a combination of services. Treatment is provided based on the individual needs of the patient and will be determined during the initial exam. Free available services include: - Dental cleaning (prophylaxis) - Advanced deep scaling and root planing - Dental x-rays - Intra/extra-oral exam cancer screening - Nutritional and tobacco cessation counseling - Home care instructions of gums and teeth - Polishing to remove stains - Fluoride treatments (various) - Sealants - Recommendations and referrals for outside follow up care - Anesthetic is available for sensitive patients

Adults 18 years and older with at least six natural teeth who have not had their teeth cleaned in the past year; calculus (tartar) build-up on the teeth is preferred. Children 5-17 years old will be seen upon appointment availability. Service Area: WNY.
