The OVS also funds a network of victim service providers across New York State. Forms for victims to fill out are available from the sheriff or police departments.Eligibility Requirements: Provides compensation benefits to innocent victims who sustained personal injury or their survivors in the case of homicide. Child victims, disabled victims, victims over the age of 60 and victims of certain crimes may be eligible for certain categories of compensation without sustaining injury.
