Consumer Complaints and Protection | New York State Department of State, Division of Consumer Protection (DCP)
Accepts and responds to consumer complaints including gas gouging complaints and works to settle disputes and represents consumer interests before the Public Service Commission (PSC). Also develops educational programs and materials informing consumers of their rights regarding scam alerts; refunds, rebates and rain checks; identity theft and protection; do not call; and product safety and injury protection.
