Multisystemic Therapy - Catholic Charities

Strength focused intensive therapeutic intervention for families with an adolescent member exhibiting behavior problems in multiple areas. Services are provided in the home, school, and community. MST works to empower parents while diverting court involvement and preventing out of home placement. Effective at helping youth ages 12-17 who are at risk of PINS for: - Truancy and school problems - Disrespect and disobedience - Aggressive behavior - Criminal behavior - Drug and alcohol problems - Running away - Family conflict

Eligibility

Families in Cattaraugus, Erie, and Niagara Counties with children ages 12-17 that have behavior issues that put them at risk of being involved in the legal system or out-of-home placement. Cattaraugus County families must be referred through the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services, Department of Probation, Department of Community Services, and/or Mental Health Association. Erie County families must be authorized through the Erie County Department of Mental Health through the Family Services Team, Juvenile Delinquency Services Team, or Formal Probation.
