NATIONAL CONSORTIUM ON DEAF-BLINDNESS (NCDB) | HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER FOR DEAF-BLIND YOUTHS AND ADULTS (HKNC)
Assists in the transition of deaf-blind young people as they move from education to adult services. Provides technical assistance to public and private agencies and to parent groups who are working towards community integration and the enhancement of quality of life. This includes training and technical assistance in community-based living arrangements, employment, recreation and leisure, health and other individual and family support services. Offers small conferences, structured workshops, on-site and/or off-site program consultation and information and referral services.

HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER FOR DEAF-BLIND YOUTHS AND ADULTS (HKNC)
Provides diagnostic evaluation, short term comprehensive rehabilitation training, and vocational preparation and placement for adults who are deaf-blind. Services include 10 regional offices, over 40 affiliated agencies, a national training team, services for older adults who are deaf-blind, a community services program for the greater metropolitan area, and a national consortium on deaf-blindness. The center also maintains a national registry of persons who are deaf-blind, and is part of DB-LINK, the national information clearinghouse of children who are deaf-blind.
