PROJECT STRIVE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM | PATCHOGUE - MEDFORD YOUTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Offers a weekly after school psychoeducational program for 4th and 5th graders at Eagle, Bay, River, Canaan, and Medford Elementary Schools. The goal is to improve student academic performance and behavior both in and out of school, while enhancing relationships between children and their families, as well as the community. This program provides counsel on obtaining skills in the areas of health and nutrition, positive relationships, building self-esteem, goal setting, decision making and community awareness, and community service activities. Also aids children in their transition to Middle School.

PATCHOGUE - MEDFORD YOUTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Provides a comprehensive array of educational and recreational programs and services to the Patchogue-Medford community. Programs and services offered include: after-school psycho-educational programs in elementary, middle and high schools, youth civic groups, food pantry, clothes closet, individual counseling for youth and adults, volunteer opportunities, Thanksgiving and holiday assistance. They also offer various recreational activities including crafts, acting and dance classes, guitar lessons and camp offered during school breaks and summer vacation. Most of the programs are free of charge and are offered in both English and Spanish.
