Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children under the age of 18 living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Eligible kids receive a wish regardless of race, religion, or economic status. The Central New York chapter is one of 62 Make-A-Wish chapters in the United States and is affiliated with Make-A-Wish America headquartered, Phoenix, AZ. There are also 36 international Make-A-Wish affiliates. Make-A-Wish Central New York serves 15 counties: Tompkins and Cortland, plus Broome Cayuga, Chenango, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence and Tioga
