NEWBORN VISITS PROGRAM | FULTON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT
A Fulton County Public Health Nurse (PHN) will contact every new mother in the county to offer a home visit and to notify them of the services available for children and their families. The PHN will call you within a few days of your discharge from the hospital to ask how you and your baby are doing and answer any questions you may have. If you wish, she will come to your home to see you and your baby. She will bring information that covers many topics of baby and child care, will weigh your baby, and will demonstrate any baby care techniques you may not be sure of, like taking a temperature.
