HEALTH SCIENCES LIBRARY | ZUCKER HILLSIDE HOSPITAL

The Health Sciences Library is an integrated system that includes libraries at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and The Zucker Hillside Hospitals. All employees of Long Island Jewish Medical Center, attending physicians on staff, students participating in current clinical rotations, and authorized volunteers are eligible for library privileges. The library is open to the public for use of on-site collections and access to consumer health online and print resources including authoritative consumer health web sites. The LIJ Library subscribes to over 600 online or print journals and maintains an on-site collection of 20,000 books and journal volumes covering all medical specialties, nursing, and health care administration. The Zucker Hillside Library specializes in psychiatry, and psychology, with over 140 journal subscriptions and a collection of 16,000 books and journal volumes.

ZUCKER HILLSIDE HOSPITAL NORTHWELL HEALTH

Offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient treatments for adults, children, adolescents and geriatric patients. Treatment specialties include early phase treatment, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar and personality disorders, as well as discreet women's unit. Outpatient programs serve all ages and encompass the full continuum of care. These services include health centers, partial hospital treatment programs, and full range of psychiatric rehabilitation services. Programs for alcohol and chemical dependency are available both on the main campus and in numerous community-based sites.
