Offers an outstanding program for adults at the Riverhead campus. CCR is a self-directed learning center for retirees. Members act together to design their own programs and contribute as presenters and discussion participants. CCR is educational and entertaining and stimulating and fun. If you are a retired person who seeks intellectual stimulation, meeting new people and active involvement, CCR is for you! As a CCR member, you are involved in a variety of activities: Presentations by members and discussions covering a wide variety of interesting topics; Member-led classes on each semester’s topics; Lectures by guest speakers; Day trips to museums, art galleries, and historic sites; Summer get-togethers at CCR member residences and Mid-term and end-of-term luncheons. Members share responsibility in curriculum planning, subject selection, and class presentations. Each semester’s curriculum consists of whatever subjects the members choose; it changes from semester to semester. The subjects cover a wide variety of topics. Call for more detailed information.
