Affordable Home Ownership Development Program (“AHODP” or “Program”) funding available to non-profit partners which will assist homeowners in the impacted communities. The Program seeks to offer emergency home repair assistance to impacted homeowners for whom FEMA Individual Assistance or other disaster recovery assistance is unavailable.

Eligibility

Funds allocated under this Program will be limited to emergency housing repairs necessary to make the home safe, sanitary and functional. Funds may only be used to address damage that occurred as a direct result of flooding. Applicant awards under this program will be based on scope of work approved by a program administrator, but in no event will the total grant award to any single applicant exceed $50,000, per AHC statute.

Volunteer organization which builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses and sells them to families who otherwise could not afford homes of their own. The cost of these homes is reduced by donations of labor and materials. The houses are sold at cost with no down payment and an interest free mortgage.
