CONSUMER DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES - STIC | SOUTHERN TIER INDEPENDENCE CENTER

An alternative to "traditional home care/personal care", CDPA allows eligible individuals to hire and direct their own personal care workers (including most family members, a neighbor or friend), to assist with bathing, dressing, eating, and other daily tasks. Eligibility is determined by the appropriate county entity. CDPA believes there's no place like home.

Must be approved for assistance by DSS, receive or be eligible for Medicaid, maintain Medicaid eligibility, be medically stable and need personal assistance for at least 180 days.
