Description

Offers students the opportunity to be an important member of the health care team when they pursue a career as a Radiologic Technologist. Students will learn the skills necessary to successfully pass the Radiologic Technology Registry Exam. This nationally recognized certification from the ARRT demonstrates that you have the knowledge necessary to work anywhere in the United States. Through the Radiologic Technology program at Western Suffolk BOCES, you will receive training in modern diagnostic radiography. Students receive instruction in fully equipped classrooms and laboratories at our Northport Campus by our highly trained and experienced faculty. Hands-on clinical training takes place at medical centers, hospitals and outpatient imaging centers. Western Suffolk BOCES is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Call for detailed information.

WESTERN SUFFOLK BOCES CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION AT WILSON TECH

Offers programs for high school students and adults so they can learn the skills that are needed in today’s workplace. Learn technical skills such as how to operate or repair a computer, how to design a building or an evening dress, or how to color hair or troubleshoot a problem with your car. And, you will gain the non-technical skills to be a useful and successful team member wherever you work. Wilson Tech and Western Suffolk BOCES offer both part-time and full-time adult education classes. We can help you: Learn a new skill; Prepare for certification or licensing; Plan for a promotion; Change careers or Build skills for that first job or a rewarding avocation. For High School students Wilson Tech can help students get a head start on their future by learning skills that employers need. Juniors and seniors in the 18 school districts in the townships of Babylon, Smithtown and Huntington can attend Wilson Tech. Students who choose a career and technical education program attend their home school for half a day and are bused to Tech for the other half of the school day.
