TOURO LAW CENTER
Offers a curriculum that focuses on learning doctrine and lawyering skills. Touro is adjacent to a state courthouse and a federal courthouse, providing wonderful synergies for teaching and learning. The work of the federal and state courts is integrated into the daily law school experience and students are in the courtroom from virtually their first week of school. Students gain doctrinal knowledge and develop skills, professional values, and early practice opportunities through simulated and real lawyering experiences in our classrooms, clinics, and field placements. Students have the opportunity to provide legal services to our neighbors through the following clinics: Advanced Bankruptcy Clinic; Bankruptcy and Mortgage Foreclosure Clinic; Child Support Mediation Clinic; Community Law Services Clinic; Criminal Defense Post Conviction Clinic; Criminal Prosecution Clinic; Education and Youth Justice Clinic; Immigration Law Clinic; Landlord-Tenant Mediation Clinic; Senior Citizens Law Project; Small Business and Not-for-Profit Law Clinic and Veterans' and Servicemembers' Right Clinic.
