Established in 1869 by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, St. Peter's has grown into a 442-bed community teaching hospital offering inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services and state-of-the-art tertiary care. Specialized services include our Cardiac & Vascular Center, Cancer Care Center, Breast Center, and Women's & Children's Services. Additionally, we offer diverse programs covering digestive disorders, orthopedics, neurosurgery, thoracic/pulmonary care and urology. St. Peter's has twice been designated a Magnet Hospital for nursing excellence. Also U.S. News & World Report awarded the hospital its highest ranking in the Capital Region and one of the highest in New York state for excellent quality care.
