DISASTER / EMERGENCY SERVICES | DUTCHESS COUNTY EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Provides the training, preparation and lead for disaster-related situations. Trains professionals and volunteers to mobilize during disasters or emergency events. Also prepares and collaborates with other agencies and personnel as to the disaster plans. Takes the lead during a disaster, guiding agencies and emergency personnel on the appropriate action to take. Manages an Access & Functional Needs Registry (voluntary, confidential list of residents who may need extra assistance, transportation or a place to stay if emergency evacuation is required).
