Provides emergency food assistance to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations and sponsors programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency. Programs include the Regional Food Bank which collects and distributes emergency food to over 500 agencies in Nassau and Suffolk counties; New Paths to Achievement Career and Personal Development; Job Training and Job Development; The Kids Cafe which is an after-school alternative for at-risk children; Pack it Up for Kids Supplemental Weekend Food Program; Summer Feeding Programs, Mobile Pantry, School Tools Program; and First StopPantry (food assistance and referral).Publishes a Newsletter and educational materials.
