WNY Nurse Family Partnership - Health & Human Services | Hall R. Clothier Building, 3rd Floor
An evidence-based community health program that serves low-income women pregnant with their first child. Each vulnerable new mother is partnered with a registered nurse early in her pregnancy and receives ongoing home visits from the nurse. NFP nurses work with mothers to help them: - Have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby - Become a better parent - Build a strong network of support - Make their home a safe place for the baby to live and play - Find healthcare, childcare, job training, and other support services available in the community NFP nurses also work to help mothers continue their education, develop job skills, set goals for their family's future and find ways to reach them.
