INTERNSHIP PROGRAM | SUFFOLK COUNTY POLICE ACADEMY

Established the student internship program to assist students in furthering their education and experience in the field of criminal justice. The Suffolk County Police Department offers this unique opportunity for students to observe the functions and operations of the department. The program will give each student a representative sampling of the comprehensive training that every police recruit must complete before they can transition to patrol duty. Interns will be assigned to their local precinct to observe the different commands of the precinct. Interns will also be assigned to Special Patrol and various commands in Police Headquarters.
