WORK ACTIVITIES PROGRAM | AHRC SUFFOLK
Provides diagnostic vocational evaluation, prevocational services and sheltered vocational training in work centers leading to comparative employment in the community. Work activities: bench assembly/packaging, porter maintenance, food service, printing, mail sorting and material movement. Clinical services include social work, psychology and nursing. Offers supported/ competitive job placements with long term support services. Program activities operate under the guidelines established by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Department of Labor. Limited transportation provided for individuals. Program offered at 2 locations in Bohemia.
