* Investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect received by NYS Central Registry of Abuse and Maltreatment. Services may include: Foster care placement for abused or neglected children. Preventive Services for families in crisis to avoid foster care placement. Casework/referral services. Family preservation & support programs. JD & PINS programs. Foster parent recruitment. Foster parent training and certification. Certification of adoptive families for children in foster care. Adult Protective services works with individuals 18 years and older, with physical and/or mental impairments, and no support system to help meet basic needs. On call caseworker for after hours emergencies.
