VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES | HOPE FOR YOUTH

Volunteer mentor and/or tutor children and adolescents who live either in therapeutic foster care homes or in group home environments. Volunteer is individually matched with a child. Volunteers must pass New York State Child Abuse Central Registry clearance, a criminal records check by fingerprint and a DMV license check as well as provide professional and personal references. Flexible hours, request minimum of 12 hours per month. College-age, Adults.

HOPE FOR YOUTH

Provides programs for children, youth and families including Diagnostic and Emergency Services for ages 6 months-20 years. ) Non-Secure Detention for Suffolk County Probation youth, Adolescent Group Home, Foster Homes (can accommodate therapeutic, regular and emergency foster care), Preventive Services (Nassau and Suffolk County Intensive Case Management and Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy. PINS Diversion Clinical Services), and the Family Service Center (outpatient chemical dependency for youth substance abuse clinic) Referrals accepted from Department of Social Services and Department of Probation for both Nassau and Suffolk County, Family Courts, and Mental Health Crisis Respite Bed System.
