PLEASE NOTE: There are no direct phone intake or assessments done for housing assistance DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. Visit their Newburgh office between 9:00 am - 3:30 pm for housing assistance. Ask for Mr. Charles Green. All other assistance you may contact Orange County Department of Social Services at 845-291-4000 with Selection #1 and then “O” for the operator. Tell the operator you are trying to reach the Newburgh or Middletown Housing Resource Center (HRC) The Operator will connect you to the Newburgh or Middletown location. HOUSING RESOURCE CENTER (HRC)
HRC is a collaboration of agencies that provides eviction prevention services and other housing-related assistance from a centrally located office in Newburgh. At this site, individuals can obtain housing assistance, motel vouchers when the EHG shelter is full, and entitlement eligibility, if applicable. Other case management services will also be available from this site. This initiative is a collaborative effort among Catholic Charities Community Services of Orange County, the Orange County Department of Social Services and a number of other community-based agencies.
