FATHERS COUNT | FAMILY SERVICES OF WESTCHESTER

Provides support to fathers who are getting ready to be released from jail,are ex-offenders, or on probation and want to be a better dad and provider to the family. The program identifies each father's challenges and links them to community resources. Participants attend a 12-session workshop where they will learn, practice and strengthen specific parenting skills, communication, conflict resolution, anger management, including financial literacy training, pre-job skills, resume writing, interviewing skills, and employment support to help improve their economic stability.

Eligibility

Fathers ages 18 and older who are about to be released or who have been recently released from the Westchester County Department of Corrections; fathers currently on probation or parole or who have been involved in the Criminal Justice System in New York State.
