Provides patrol and other police service to the Town of Babylon. The officers of the First Precinct are assigned to a wide variety of tasks including community policing, motor patrol, gang enforcement, school resource officers, and quality of life enhancement. Our COPE and CSU officers work on quality of life issues ranging from traffic problems to drug complaints. The precinct commanding officer hosts a precinct wide community meeting on the first Thursday of each month. The meeting is at the West Babylon Library and starts at 7:00. At the meeting, you will be provided with crime stats for each community served by the precinct. Community members are also invited to express their concerns at the meeting. Numerous officers attend and it is an excellent way to meet officers who patrol your neighborhood. Call for detailed information of services offered.
